Hi, I'm Nadja and in the photo with me is my whippet Seymour.
I launched this niche whippet coat brand by accident, I had no intention of launching a whippet coat business but Seymour received so much attention wearing the coats I had made him as a puppy I started to sew them for other people too.
I initially made him coats and jumpers as I couldn't find anything that reflected my own style but also whippets have such a distinct shape noone was making anything to account for this particularly well either.
Fast forward to the current day and we've been making coats for whippets and Italian Greyhounds for almost 7 years.
Everything at Occam is made in small batches in my studio by a small team. We use deadstock, regenerated and UK woven fabrics.
Occam is my middle name, stemming from Occam’s Razor which is a philosophical term. Occam’s Razor states that the simplest route is often the best route and this has always resonated with me as a designer.
Occam designs are simple, functional and modern.
